Build a Birthday Cake

Children assemble a birthday cake on this cut-and-glue sheet. The left side is the "Assembly Area": a pale blue cake stand marked "Glue here!" with balloons and confetti around it. The right side, labeled "Cutting Pieces," holds the parts to cut out: a pink bottom cake layer, a yellow top cake layer, blue frosting drip, a cherry topper and four colorful candles, plus a few stars and sprinkles.

Kids cut along the dashed outlines and stack the pieces on the stand in order, bottom layer first and candles last. It's a friendly way to practice scissor control, sequencing and color names, and a teddy bear and a bunny holding scissors and glue decorate the corners.
