Fill the Jar with Pink Color Things

A simple color-recognition activity built around a big empty jar with a pink lid. Below the jar are six pink pictures to cut out along the dotted lines: a smiling pig, a flower, a strawberry milk carton, a polka-dot bow, a slice of cake with a cherry and a bunch of heart balloons.

Kids cut out each picture and glue it inside the jar, saying the color as they go. It's a gentle way to practice naming colors, cutting along straight lines and spotting everyday things that come in pink.
