Fruit name challenge
"Fruit Name Challenge!" is a one-page spelling worksheet with ten numbered boxes. Each box shows a smiling fruit next to its name with a letter or two missing: an apple, a banana, an orange, grapes, a strawberry, a watermelon, a pineapple, a pear, cherries and a mango. Name and date lines run along the bottom.
Children look at the picture, say the fruit's name aloud and write the missing letters in the blanks. It practices spelling, letter-sound matching and fruit vocabulary, and it suits kindergarten and first grade as morning work or a literacy center.
There is also a separate Fruit Name Fill in the Blank sheet on the same theme.
