Place the pictures to match the colors of the pizza
A large outline pizza is cut into six slices, and each slice carries a color word: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Under the dotted cutting lines are six pictures to cut out: a smiling tomato, a sprig of green leaves, a bunch of blueberries, a purple onion, a carrot and a winking lemon.
Children cut out the pictures and glue each one onto the slice with the matching color. It practices color recognition, reading color words and cutting along dotted lines, and the food theme makes it a nice fit for a lesson on fruits and vegetables in preschool or kindergarten.
For eight colors, try the lemon version.
