Tortoise Puzzle for Kids
A friendly tortoise puzzle with sixteen numbered pieces. The green tortoise wears an orange striped scarf and a shell patterned with flowers and hearts, and walks along a dirt path past daisies, bluebells and fluttering butterflies. Under the picture is a grid of sixteen boxes of black dots, beginning with a single dot.
Cut out the picture pieces, count the dots in each box and place the matching numbered piece on top. It practices counting, number recognition and matching, with some scissor practice too, for preschool and kindergarten.
The Elephant Puzzle uses the same dot-counting idea with a baby elephant picture.
