"Winter Wear: Complete the Names" has seven numbered picture cards with colored borders. Each shows a piece of cold-weather clothing above its name with a letter missing: a knitted hat (H_T), a striped scarf (SC_RF), a puffy coat (C_AT), mittens (MITT_NS), gloves (GL_VES), a patterned sweater (SW_ATER) and snow pants (SN_W PANTS). Snowflakes and little snowmen decorate the page.
The instruction reads: look at the pictures and fill in the missing letters to complete the word. It's spelling and vocabulary practice for kindergarten and first grade, and a natural fit for a winter or clothing theme.
