Diamond Shape Activity

A smiling blue diamond with the word "Diamond" sits at the top of a big circle that fills most of the page. Dashed lines at the bottom divide six pictures to cut out, each built around a diamond shape: a sparkling gem, a rainbow kite, a hanging Christmas ornament, a mirror in a diamond-shaped gold frame, a holiday decoration with a green gem and red bow, and a pair of gold earrings.

Children cut out the pictures and glue them inside the circle, hunting for diamond shapes in everyday objects. It practices shape recognition and scissor skills for preschool and kindergarten.

The rest of the set: Circle, Oval, Rectangle, Square and Triangle.
