Square Shape Activity

A smiling blue square with the word "Square" sits at the top of a big circle that fills most of the page. Along the bottom, dashed lines divide six square pictures to cut out: a framed picture of a house, a chessboard, a window with a plant, an orange cushion, a TV showing a cat and a blue alarm clock.

Children cut out the pictures and glue them inside the circle, noticing squares around the home. It builds shape recognition and scissor skills for preschool and kindergarten, and it helps children see how a square differs from a rectangle.
